TODAY: Roses and Thorns, Check off Homework, Elaborate - Appeasement - Analogy Game.

Elaborate

  • Marked by complexity, fullness of detail.
    • He told the story in elaborate detail.

 Appease
  • To make (someone) pleased or less angry by giving or saying something desired
    • They appeased the dictator by accepting his demands in an effort to avoid war.
Analogy
  • a comparison of two things based on their being alike in some way.
    • It has often been said that movie stars are the royalty of America. (The better analogy, really, is that the royals are the movie stars of Britain.)
